The story
Why we built ArcForge
Welding is learned under the hood, one bead at a time. But the feedback that makes those beads count is scarce: an instructor can’t stand behind every booth, and most practice sessions end with someone squinting at a weld, unsure what it’s telling them.
We started Forge Nova Labs to close that gap with software that takes the trade — and its limits — seriously. Modern vision models can describe the surface of a weld in useful, structured ways. They cannot see penetration, fusion, or code compliance, and software that pretends otherwise is worse than useless in a field where quality is a safety matter.
So we built the product around that line. ArcForge pairs original learning content with AI-assisted visual feedback that says exactly what it sees, how confident it is, and what it can never confirm — then hands the judgment back to the welder and the people qualified to make the call.
We’re a small team, and we like it that way: close to the product, close to the welders, instructors, and shops who use it, and accountable for every word of content we ship.

What we hold ourselves to
Honest AI, always
We tell you what a photo can and cannot show — on the marketing site, in the product, and inside every single result. If a claim would need an inspector, the software refuses to make it.
Original content
Every lesson, defect entry, prep track, and quiz question is original ArcForge writing. No textbook excerpts, no codebook reproductions, no recycled exam questions.
Educational, not authoritative
ArcForge prepares people for instructors, inspectors, and testing facilities — it never pretends to replace them. Disclaimers aren’t fine print here; they’re product design.
Respect for welder data
Weld photos are personal practice records — so by default we don’t keep them at all. Photos are analyzed in memory and discarded unless a welder chooses to save one to their own private record; results reach instructors only through class membership and are never trophies for our marketing.
Independence from our partners
Brand partners can publish reviewed resources and fund scholarships, and welders can test the product and rate the AI’s accuracy. But partners never influence AI scoring or buy access to private welder data, sponsored content is always labeled, and tester feedback is weighed by qualification — never the other way around.
